ABOUT:
Many of us are already blogging with our students. Some might be doing a whole class blog and others are using individual student blogs as well. I LOVE LOVE LOVE "Kid Blog" because it is so user friendly. If you have iPad access, using the "Kid Blog" app is the way to go. The camera feature allows students take videos and/or photographs and post it to their blog. This has been a very easy way for my students to create a digital portfolio of their work. Many times the extension of their center work is to post their work to their blog and then give feedback to another classmates' work. Modeling and practicing giving feedback throughout the school year is a great way to create a culture of continual growth.
USE IN CENTERS:
* Post a question (or video for new readers) and have students respond to post.
* Have students document center work through their blog. Encourage students to give feedback on other students' work.
